AyurvedaPost Pregnancy Mother Care:
There is very special mother care and child care program, available in Ayurveda with herbal internal medicines, special oil massage for mother and child is advised after pregnancy. After giving birth, a woman can undergo severe stress—both physically and mentally. We have special Ayurveda packages, which include nourishing and relaxing therapy to tone the body, firm the skin, relax the mind and nourish the body.

A therapeutic combination of Abhyangam, Dhara, bath on specially prepared herbal water etc relaxes and refreshes a new mother, bolstering physical strength and revitalizing the mind so that she has is happy and healthy. The moisturizing oils also greatly reduce the appearance of stretch marks. We have special herbal bath and care for the baby as well.

Special PostPregnancy treatments for the mother:

Internal treatment:
Providing medicine helping in contraction of uterus, relieving body pain, proper digestion and bowel, production of milk.

External Treatments:
Abhyangam, Swedanam (Steam), Elakizhi / Njavara Kizhi, Kashayadhara and special bath using warm medicated water.

Kizhi: Njavarakizhi / Elekizhi

Kizhi is another special Ayurvedic treatments. Boluses of njavara rice / Medicated Powder or special leaves are used for Kizhi Treatments. The Njavara rice is boiled and medicated then wrapped in hand-size cotton bags. In the massage program, the kizhi (boluses of njavara made into a handheld bag or medicated powder) is dipped in warm decoctions. This makes the body of the person perspire and this method provides direct nourishment to soft tissues near the skin. The therapy can last for up to an hour a day and continues for 14 days. Persons suffering from joint pains, rheumatism, bad cholesterol, weak and underdeveloped limbs, and certain skin disorders can take an appropriate kizhi therapy.

Abhyangam:
Abhyangam is an oil massage, recommended for increasing flexibility of muscles and joints, rejuvenating skin, and keeping impurities from accumulating in the body by stimulating various tissues. Abhyangam increases the production of white blood corpuscles and antibodies, which provide more resistance against viruses and diseases. This helps the defence mechanism in the body and increases immunity towards environmental changes. In this way massage is a protector, preserver and a rejuvenator, increasing self-confidence and will power. Also relieves fatigue, promotes the eyesight, longevity, sleep and nourishes the body.

Kashaya Dhara:

Sarvanga Kashaya Dhara is a whole-body treatment. Warm herbal oil are poured in a rhythmic steady stream from mug or bronze pitchers to every region of the body. Sarvanga Dhara is very effective in degenerative diseases and also for menstrual and skin problems, including sunburn.

Special Bath:

We offer bath for the mother and child with specially prepared medicated water every day as per the advice of the doctor.  Different kinds of herbal ingredients are used in this warm water.

Our working time is 9.30 am – 5.30 pm. All days are working including Sundays. Doctor is available on all the days from 10 am – 5 pm everyday, except Sundays.

This special Ayurvedic Post pregnancy package will be confirmed on the payment of 50% of the total cost in advance. Package is worked out on the basis of one person for treatments and other person with accommodation and food only in case of Double occupancy.

Daily one oil bath is complementary for the child.

Any internal medicines or food supplements will be charged actuals.

Please note that it is always better to bring one of your relative to stay along with you.

Packages includes: Ayurveda Treatments, special food and accommodation as per the room.

Airport pick up and Consultation with the doctor will be complementary.

Please note the accommodation at Kerala is not a hotel or a beach side resort, but home stay with all the facility, attached bath room, TV, free WIFI along with home made special vegetarian food. This is a treatment center so no other entertainments available here.

It is always better to consult with our doctor and decide the nature of the treatments.  The above mentioned is the general packages and there can be some changes in the treatments as per the condition of the mother after delivery.
